Donna Jean Carlson (Anderson)

Donna Jean Carlson (Anderson), born on October 16, 1937, to Reuben and Beulah Anderson of Foreston, MN.

Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Quentin Carlson; parents, Reuben and Beulah Anderson; sister, Betty Kramer and her husband David; brothers-in-laws, Willis Olson and Ted Green.

She is survived by her son Brian Carlson; daughters, Debbie Regan, Nancy (Steve) Fischer; grandchildren, Hailey Fischer (Corey) Anderlie, Cuyler Fischer, Chayton Fischer, and Jacob Regan; great grandchildren, Kira, Kinsley, and Quinn; sisters, Dorthy Green and Janice Olson; nieces and nephews; and stepson, Bill Warneke.

Donna grew up on the farm in Foreston, MN with her 3 sisters. She met Quentin at 14 and their story began. Donna and Quentin were married December 27, 1959 in Bock, MN and eventually settled in Osseo, MN where Donna was the principal’s secretary while Quent began his teaching and coaching careers. They moved to their forever home in Western Maple Grove raising their 3 children together.

Strong, outgoing and full of life, Donna brought joy and energy wherever she went. Whether she was casting a line on a quiet lake, tending to her blooming garden, or planning her next travel adventure, she embraced every moment. Family was the center of her world, and she was known to be the first to lend a hand, and a true example of what it meant to live with purpose and kindness. She was a devoted mother, a “fun” grandma and great grandma. Donna was a proud and faithful member of Immanuel United Methodist Church for 65 years. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, and unconditional love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11AM at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 10025 Brockton Ln N, Corcoran, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment at Borgholm Cemetery in Bock, MN.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Immanuel United Methodist Church in Donna’s name. If you would like to send flowers, please send perennials to be planted by her family in memory of Donna.
