Don so loved: his wife of 52 years, Pat, and her sisters and extended family; to cook indoors or out; reading, especially historical books; discovering his heritage, especially that some of his family of origin were from Scotland and Poland.

Covid-19 quarantine-ing brought 3 kitties into our lives & home: Momma, Rafaella & Donatella; he loved sewing and making quilts; travels in the US to visit family & friends; travels in Europe to celebrate retirement, and to explore & learn more about the countries and lives of his ancestors; travel to Israel, Jerusalem; his years as a Deacon for the Archdiocese of St. Paul & Minneapolis, especially as a Chaplain at Cerenity-Marian of St. Paul; singing with choral groups, or in the shower; enjoying musicals, opera, stage shows; spending time with our youngest nephew, Liam, and niece, Hazel; spending time in person or on the phone with his dearest friend, Dan, and his wife, Bonnie.

Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023. I can’t say enough positive things about all aspects of my interactions with them. They reached out to help every step of the way—from planning the Celebration of Life service, the service itself, and after care contact. Brittney was the person I primarily worked with. She was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, organized, and had great communication skills, which greatly helped in reducing my stress level. I plan to contact Evans-Nordby soon to pre-plan my own final arrangements.
