Obituary for Dolores G. Pieper

Pieper, Dolores Gayle (Lund) "Gram." Our beloved Gram passed away peacefully at home on August 25, 2021 with family by her side. She was born to Oscar and Edna Lund in Minneapolis on November 23, 1930 and lived most of her life in the Twin Cities area. She was truly the nucleus of our family, and we have many precious memories of gathering at her home. She adored Prince and was a big fan of the Vikings, Twins, and golf. Her love of travel brought her to Paris, London, Hawaii, and Haiti as well as countless trips to Florida and California. She was beautiful, kind, and always had a way of making people feel good about themselves. And she was cool I How many 90-year-olds end their text messages with a string of emojis? Well, our message to her ends with a thousand broken hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Muriel, and her former spouse Russell. Survived by daughters Cynthia Eliason (Mark), Claudia Daniels (Jim), son Mark (Annette). Grandchildren Tiffany (Ted), Amy (Scott), Jesse, Ben, Sam, and step-grandson Aaron (Brendan). Great-grandchildren Alexa, Carlie-Anne, Ashley, Anthony and Andrew. Great-great- grandsons Jaiden and Daylen, nephew Steven (Sheryl) great-nephew Anderson and so many dear friends.

Our son recently passed away and of course you never expect to have to deal with this for your children so my wife and I were not only devastated but didn’t know what to do or where to turn next. Evans-Nordby was recommended to us by our Priest and I’m so glad he did. From the moment I talked to Tina on the phone I could tell we were in good hands as she took care of every detail. We met with her the next day and she went through all the aspects of what we were to expect in the coming days, weeks, then months ahead. Every employee we had contact with at Evans-Nordby was kind, compassionate and extremely professional. Thanks Tina and to all at Evans-Nordby for making an unbearable experience at least tolerable.
