Diane R. Bennett

Bennett, Diane R. age 76 of Brooklyn Park, passed unexpectedly at home on Jan 29, 2019. Born in Glencoe, MN she spent most of her life and raised her family in Brooklyn Park. She was a longtime member of the Mrs. Jaycees of MN in which she held the offices of State President in 1975-1976, National Vice President in 1976-1977 and National Parliamentarian in 1977-1978. Diane was employed for 20 plus years at Northeast Eye Clinic. She was passionate about local politics and served as a delegate for the DFL in local and national elections. Diane’s greatest joy was her family, with whom she shared her love through keeping fridges and cupboards well stocked with her homemade goodies and culinary marvels. Diane is survived by her shopping partner and loving husband of 56 years, Duane; children, Kelly (Dewy), Todd, Scott (Amy); grandchildren, Matthew (Tawny), Lauren & Calvin; great-grandchildren, Gemini & Trey; 7 siblings; and many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Diane’s Life will be held at 12PM Saturday, Feb 9, 2019 with an opportunity during the service to share a memory of Diane at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 2nd Street N.E., Osseo, MN 55369, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
