Obituary for Delores M. Nesteby

Delores "Dee" Nesteby, age 87, of Brooklyn Park, passed away January 18, 2024. Dee was born October 29, 1936 in Russell, MN. After graduating from high school, she started work at the egg plant in Marshall, MN and was in the Powderpuff Derby car racing in Lynd County. Dee married Kenneth Nesteby and they moved to California for 1 year. After moving back to Minnesota, they lived in Minneapolis and later Brooklyn Park. Dee worked for a variety of companies - including jobs at the Gumby Toy Factory, Pearsons Candy, LifeTouch, and Northwestern Bank before retiring from Honeywell. Dee loved line dancing and polka dancing - spending many Thursday nights at the Medina Ballroom. She also loved roller skating and her favorite singer, Charlie Pride.

Dee is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth and brother, Warner Babcock.

She is survived by her children, Teresa, Cindy, Roger, Becky, and Jodi; her grandchildren, Anthony, Jason, Timothy, Shane, Jenna, Jacob, Miranda, Leah, and Damaso; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Wayne Babcock; and sister, Betty Tallarida.

A Celebration of Dee's Life will be from 2-8 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Palmer Lake VFW, 2817 Brookdale Drive, Brooklyn Park.
