Anderson Shimek, Darlene J., age 81 of Brooklyn Park passed away July 29, 2017. Preceded in death by husband, Theodore Anderson; husband, Harold Shimek; and daughter, Vickie Rae Blocker. Survived by brother, Eugene Swedeen; children, Steve Anderson, Robb (Kathy) Anderson, Lynn (Steven) Lindstedt, Robin Schumaker, Dwight Anderson; 17 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Darlene was a dedicated Christian woman who gave Christ-like service and help her entire life. She was the most compassionate, giving, and selfless person that only comes along in 1 in 7 billion people. She’ll be greatly missed but always remembered. Funeral Service 11AM Wednesday August 2, 2017 at Discover Church, 1400 81^st Ave N., Brooklyn Park, MN 55444. Visitation from 6-8PM Tuesday August 1, 2017 at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center, MN 55429 and also 1 hour prior to the service at church Wed.
