Obituary for Daniel T. Spanier

Daniel Spanier, age 60, of Osseo, MN died Saturday, March 23, 2019.

He is survived by his wife Holly; children: Connor, Greta, Nolan, and Eva; siblings: Connie (Wayne) Aho, Marilyn (John) Posl, Tom (Barb), Mark (Sandy), Jane (Ricky) Hilbrands, Julie (Slick Lorentzen); 27 nieces & nephews; 16 great nieces & nephews; and hundreds of wonderful family and friends.

Preceded in death by parents Leonard and Verlett and nephews Jack and Brian.

Dan was many things to may people: son, brother, husband, daddy, in-law, favorite uncle, friend, roomie, newspaper boy, coach, scout, fast food worker, janitor, BN gandy dancer, loan officer, real estate agent, Lion, Knight, bartender, entrepreneur, social studies teacher, stay at home dad extraordinaire, GS cookie cupboard dad, city council member, and most recently real estate developer/investor.

He traveled his cancer journey the same way he lived his life - on his own terms with love, grace, and dignity. He loved politics, the stock market, American history, hot air ballooning in his brothers' balloons, road trips, laughing with others, telling stories, gatherings of any sort, talk radio, coffee shops, small towns, watching his children grow up, traveling, rescuing discarded treasures, tractors, the family cabins and being on lake time on Minnewawa, New Mexico, Montana, Yellowstone, fishing, making the rounds, friends from childhood to friends he made last week, his extremely large family, Holly his greatest love, but most of all his greatest accomplishment - Connor his strength, Greta his beauty, Nolan his heart, & Eva his cuddler.

The caring did not stop after the services. They offer their continued compassion to adults and children. With grateful hearts thank you.
