Daniel D. Sienko

Daniel David Sienko of Foley MN, passed away on September 16th, 2026, at the age of 78.

He was born on March 27th, 1948, to Jake and Helen Sienko. Daniel joined the Navy at 18 and served during the Vietnam war. Daniel went to Anoka Hennepin Trades school to get his degree as a Machinist and Auto Body technician. Daniel married Marilyn (Gladys) in 1973. Daniel and Marilyn welcomed their only son, Jeremiah, in 1977. Daniel worked in the heating and air conditioning field. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, son, parents and siblings up at the “River”. Daniel loved gardening with his family; they would spend many hours canning. Daniel was a jack of all trades, he enjoyed building, fixing things and figuring out how “all things” worked. Daniel also enjoyed collecting treasures that would be “useful later”. Daniel enjoyed spending time with his (ex) wife Marilyn Sienko, when they divorced after 40 years, they were still very close and talked all the time. Daniel enjoyed being around his family and talking with friends.

Daniel will be remembered and missed by his family and friends.

Daniel is survived by his ex-wife, Marilyn (Gladys) Sienko of Bullhead City AZ; Son, Jeremiah Sienko (Katey) of Foreston MN; Granddaughters, Marissa Sienko of Mora MN, Amber Sienko of Foreston MN, Jenna Sienko of Foreston MN; Great Grandkids, Saige and Patrick; Siblings, Marilyn Wishy of Maple Grove MN, Robert (Char) Sienko of Billings MT, Susan(Dennis) Olson of Andover MN; brother-in-law, Danny Skwarek; many nephews, nieces and many friends.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Helen Sienko; Brother, Jerry Sienko; Sister, Janet Skwarek; Brother-in-law, George Wishy.
