Dale Lemier Jr.
April 25, 1963 - December 14, 2025
In Loving Memory of Dale Arlin Lemier, Jr. Born April 25th, 1963. To Heaven December 14th, 2025.
Dale was a loving partner, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Dale passed away peacefully on December 14th, 2025. Dale fought valiantly through 2 weeks of ICU and dialysis after his kidneys shut down from an infection. Dale had been through many illnesses and he struggled to stay.........but his body was too tired. Dale was able to pass peacefully on his own terms with his family at bedside through his final illness.
Dale was born April 25th, 1963 to parents Dale Lemier, Sr and Virginia Villebrun in St. Paul, Minnesota. Mother was Native and enrolled at White Earth so Dale spent most of his childhood up north in Duluth and Superior. Dale had two sisters. Dale quit school when he was 13 years old and started roofing with his father. Later in his early 20's, Dale made it to South Minneapolis where he lived and was a roofer. Dale was married and divorced and had 1 daughter from the union, Mary. During the summer of 1994 he met the bartender who would become his life partner for the rest of his life. Dale spent the next 20 years with his life partner, Terese Delores Berg, until her passing on January 2nd, 2014. Dale and his father owned their own roofing company. Dale found pride and joy in his working accomplishments and having his own crew for his jobs. Many a car ride in the city and up north, Dale would say, "Yep... I worked on that roof". "I did that roof." and he would point out all of the roofing jobs he had done in the cities. Dale had gotten into a specialty in roofing and was known as a "Hot Tar Roofer". They did alot of businesses and schools-because of the flat roofs. He had burns all up and down his arms and scars that attested to his hard work. He never complained, just took these injuries and scars as part of the job.
Dale spent 30 years with his partners family, raising one generation, then the 2nd generation and babysat many of the 3rd generation of kids. He found joy in being around family the most and just "bullshitting" with everyone. Don't forget the Budweiser! He enjoyed going to the casino, family get togethers, Bar B Que's, watching the Vikings. Sometimes, it was just long and lingering talks with coffee-......"Oh, Boppa, I remember our talks well....and I miss them". Dale cultivated meaningful friendships and left an enduring legacy in the lives that he touched. He would give anyone the shirt on his back and will be remembered for his generosity and empathy. Later on Dale enjoyed sitting hand in hand with his Special Grandaughter, Gabriella, and watching movies when he would come and spend the night. He enjoyed puzzles with Gabriella.. Dale and Gabriella forged a lifelong bond, the minute he first held her in the hospital when she was a newborn. They were best friends and remained best friends until the day he passed. Gabriella stood at his bedside the last month and just held on to his hand.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and Dale Lemier Sr., his life partner-Terese Delores Berg. Dale is survived by children, Larry Benjamin Berg, Jr. (Toby), Danielle Berg "Dani", and Martin Berg. Sister-in-law Tammy Dempsey (Eyre) and nephews-Randolph Eyre, Tony Villagomez, Godon Villagomez.
