Obituary for Craig Hinrichs

Craig A Hinrichs, 60, of Zimmerman, MN.

Passed away June 30th, in his home surrounded by family.

Survived by wife Kim (Kettelhut) and daughter Rylie; brothers, Reggie (Gail), Kelly (Deb), Les (Robin), Corey (Darcy) and sister, Peggy (Randy) and many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Harland and Mugs Hinrichs and brother, Ronnie.

Craig graduated from Elk River High School in 1978. He excelled in football and track, and was known to his friends as "Crazy Legs". He was a pressman at the Star Tribune for 32 years, retiring in 2019 due to health issues. Craig was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved sports. He rebuilt his 66 Chevy Caprice and entered many cars shows, including facilitating the Princeton Rum River Days car show for over 15 years. Craig loved spending time with family, hosting holidays, and anything to do with Halloween. He loved his wife Kim (married July 26th,1997) and was always eager to talk about her accomplishments. His daughter Rylie was his pride and joy, and loved when they all could go to the cabin together for vacation. Memorial Service 11AM Saturday, July 25, 2020 with visitation from 10-11AM at Christ our Light Church-South, 25909 4th Street West. Zimmerman, 55398. Masks are required and will be available if one is needed. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred; if you choose to send flowers, please deliver to church on Saturday 7/25 at 9AM.

Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023. I can’t say enough positive things about all aspects of my interactions with them. They reached out to help every step of the way—from planning the Celebration of Life service, the service itself, and after care contact. Brittney was the person I primarily worked with.
