Obituary for Clarine Wingard

Clarine Elizabeth (Titrud) Wingard, 91 of Champlin Minnesota passed away on April 24, 2016.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 27 at Champlin United Methodist Church. 921 Downs Road, Champlin, Minnesota. Visitation 4-8 PM Tuesday at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 Second St. N.E. Osseo MN, and 1 hour prior to service at church. There will be a private burial.

Clarine Titrud was born in Stolkholm Minnesota on December 23, 1924. She graduated from Cokato High School, Cokato Minnesota and continued on to receive a degree from the Minnesota School of Business. Clarine was married to John P. Wingard in October of 1951. They were married 65 years. Clarine worked as a secretary for Cream of Wheat and Diatine until 1952. Her greatest love was raising her four children. Clarine and John originated the Wingard Farms Potato Company early in their marriage. She was also actively involved in Meals on Wheels and Champlin United Methodist Church. Clarine was honored to receive a 50 year membership pin from Eastern Star. She particulary enjoyed the plentiful celebrations with her children and hometown Cokato relatives.

Clarine is survived by her husband John, her children John Jr., (Catherine) of Bemidji, Thomas (LuAnn) of Elk River, Karla (Charles Miller) of Winter Park, Colorado. Michael (Elizabeth) of Elk River, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Champlin United Methodist Church, or Shriners Hospital for Children.

Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023.
