Obituary for Chuck Gustafson

Chuck Gustafson, age 87 of Osseo, passed away July 18, 2019.

Preceded in death by parents, William and Singheld (nee Lavin) Gustafson; sister and brother-in-law, Fern and Robert Wodtke; and niece Diane Welch.

Chuck was a Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Insulation Sales, then worked for 30 years in the Minneapolis Inspections Dept.

He and his wife Bev of 62 years have two sons, Bill (Denise) of Elk River and Jim (Jenny) of West Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren, Grant and Kelli; cousins, Bev Johnson, Charlotte Schoen, and Tom Meyers; and great nephews, Brett and Brad.

Private burial at South Green Lake Cemetery, Chisago City. Memorial service 10 AM Saturday July 27 at Brooklyn United Methodist Church, 7200 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.

Chuck was a 17-year member of Brooklyn United Methodist Church and volunteered folding Sunday bulletins. He was a country music fan and enjoyed Midwest Country shows in Sandstone, MN and singing along at bluegrass jams. He enjoyed camping in the family’s small travel trailer, spending summers at a cabin on Green Lake, and special vacations like the Polar Bear sightseeing trip to Hudson Bay, and the small ship cruise up the Alaskan Inside Passage. He was a hard worker, loved spending time with his family, and a loving husband, father and grandfather.

I just can't say enough about the help we received in planning my husband's funeral at the Osseo Evans Nordby funeral home.
