Obituary for Carol "Tootie" Anderson

Carol "Tootie" Anderson, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of May 19. She was born September 14, 1935 on a farm outside of Bowdon, ND. Tootie was a force of her own, and much loved by all. A basketball star, golfer and bibliophile; a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A small farm girl from North Dakota, a teacher in a one room school. A collector of pens and pencils.

She is survived by her husband Allen; children Kelly, Wendy (Ed), Shawn (Hanna); grandchildren Alex (Danielle), Kelsey, Sam, Michael; great-grandsons Elijah and Mason; brother Wendell; goddaughters Vicki (niece) and Mariah; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday, May 23rd at 11 a.m. with visitation an hour before, at First Lutheran Church of Crystal, 7708 62nd Ave. N., Brooklyn Park, MN.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either Kid Pack – First Lutheran Church of Crystal or Heifer International Women’s Empowerment.
