Obituary for Carol Emmans

Carol Emmans, age 80, of Osseo, graduate of Osseo High School, St. Cloud State, and U of M. Carol taught elementary grades in various Osseo buildings for 37 years. Her passions were music and children’s ministries at her church, St. Paul’s Lutheran. She loved to make a “joyful noise” and did it often.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Marg and Wayne Petersen, Nora Kosloski, Paula and Adam Schmidt, and Leah and Marlin Olson; grandchildren, Elise and Corinne Kosloski, Noah, Sophia, and Aaron Schmidt, Olivia and Reed Olson; brother, Loren (Bonnie) Gelle; and uncle, Rollie Rambow. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Dale in 2014 and her parents, Ted and Bernice Gelle.

A memorial service of thanksgiving and remembrance will be held at 11 AM Monday, June 18, 2018, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 710 East Broadway, Osseo. Visitation 5-8 PM Sunday, June 17, 2018, at the church and 1 hour prior to the service Monday at the church.

Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023. I can’t say enough positive things about all aspects of my interactions with them. They reached out to help every step of the way—from planning the Celebration of Life service, the service itself, and after care contact. Brittney was the person I primarily worked with. She was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, organized, and had great communication skills, which greatly helped in reducing my stress level. I plan to contact Evans-Nordby soon to pre-plan my own final arrangements.
