Carol Ann (Golden) Bailey aka Gramma Carol of Brooklyn Park, MN passed away on December 5, 2025 at the age of 91. Carol was born on March 21,1934 at Sacred Heart hospital in Eau Claire, WI. She attended Sacred Heart Grade School and was a 1952 graduate of Regis High School. She attended college and graduated as an x-ray and lab technician.
Carol was active in many organizations, the VFW auxiliary of Crystal, past president of the American Legion Auxiliary of Brooklyn Center Post 630, past president of the American Little League and a volunteer at St. Gerard’s Church of Brooklyn Park.
She leaves a legacy of laughter and encouragement in good times and bad. Carol lived each day with love and faith in God. She is to be remembered for her comforting presence, her kind heart and her generous disposition. While age slowly diminished some of her activities, her faith and her love for her family remained steady. She could always find the time and energy to help when called upon.
She was preceded in death by her parents Christoper & Rose (Ludwikoski) Golden, beloved sisters Kathleen Harper and Mary Wolfe, brothers Thomas Golden, John Golden and Eugene Golden, former husband Edward Kielb, husband Marvin Bailey and brothers-in-law Michael Wolfe and Raymond Fetter.
Carol is survived by six children, Dr. Christine Kielb, Jeffrey (Katie) Kielb, James (Marie) Kielb, Thomas (Lisa) Kielb, Timothy Kielb and Michael (partner David) Kielb. Grandchildren, Jacob (Courtney) Kielb, Jessica (Dustin) Norman, William Kielb and Daniel Kielb. Great grandchildren, Kaleb and Taylor Kielb.
She is also survived by siblings, Dr. Patrick Golden, Fred (Dianne) Golden and Marilyn Fetter. Sister-in-law Diane Golden. Also survived by many relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 11AM, with visitation at 10AM at St. Gerard’s in Brooklyn Park, MN. Private burial service will be held at Fort Snelling.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family to make a meaningful donation in Carol’s honor and memory.
