Obituary for Barbara L. McCollor
Age 86 of Maple Grove, passed away June 19, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael; siblings, David Nygren, Donald Nygren, and Dorothy Bertas; and son-in-law, Patrick Lansing. She is survived by her children, Michael “Mickey” (Kristin), Mark, Danny (Cindy), Mary, and Kevin McCollor; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation 4-8PM Thursday July 7, Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 2nd St. NE, Osseo. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30AM Friday July 8, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 9100 93rd Ave. N., Brooklyn Park, with visitation one hour prior to Mass at Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Our son recently passed away and of course you never expect to have to deal with this for your children so my wife and I were not only devastated but didn’t know what to do or where to turn next. Evans-Nordby was recommended to us by our Priest and I’m so glad he did. From the moment I talked to Tina on the phone I could tell we were in good hands as she took care of every detail. We met with her the next day and she went through all the aspects of what we were to expect in the coming days, weeks, then months ahead. Every employee we had contact with at Evans-Nordby was kind, compassionate and extremely professional. Thanks Tina and to all at Evans-Nordby for making an unbearable experience at least tolerable.
