Barbara Jean Reggin (née Fetterley)
January 25, 1954 - March 25, 2026
Barbara Jean Reggin (née Fetterley), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully at home on March 25, 2026 at the age of 72 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Barb will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, and the powerful way she cared for others. She loved traveling around Minnesota and camping with her family, and she treasured the chance to spend her final summers at Big Pines Resort with the many friends they made there. Laughter was never in short supply when she was dancing or playing games with her sisters‑in‑law. And while her casino trips didn’t always pay off, they were always a source of excitement and fun shared with the friends who joined her. She adored her grandchildren, and her family takes comfort in knowing she will be cheering them on in all their activities – in addition to cheering for her beloved Minnesota Vikings.
Barb is survived by her devoted husband, Richard, who lovingly cared for her at home during her final months; daughter, Jill (Zachary) Goring; son, Michael (Brianne); grandchildren, Andrew, Alexa, Benjamin, Evan, Mason, and Audrey, who brought her endless joy; sisters, Donna (Tom) Casper, Julie (Gary) Richie, Ann (Joel) Zejdlik; and many nieces, nephews, and Reggin in-laws. Her family brought deep meaning and purpose to her life, and her legacy lives on in the values she instilled and the love she gave so freely.
She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Jr., her parents, Donald and Ann Marie Fetterley; her sisters, Susan and Jane; and her brother, Donald. Though she endured profound loss, she carried each of them in her heart with unwavering strength.
Her family extends their deepest gratitude to the North Memorial Health Cancer Care Center and Hospice team whose compassion and gentle care brought comfort and dignity to Barb’s final months, especially her hospice nurse Shelby and her care assistant, Abi.
Consistent with her giving spirit, Barb has chosen to help others by participating in the University of Minnesota Medical School’s Anatomy Bequest Program, which supports high quality education for future health professionals and continued advancements in medical care through research.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:30AM with visitation starting at 10AM on May 6, 2026 at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and celebrate the beautiful life she lived. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Barb’s honor to North Memorial Health Cancer Center or Hospice.
