Allen “Al” Anderson, passed away peacefully in his sleep the morning of July 19. He was born January 26, 1936 in Sleepy Eye, MN but soon moved to Bowdon, ND and spent most of childhood there. In school, Al would find the love of his life, Carol “Tootie” Schultz. Al finished high school back in MN and started his career in the grocery industry, as a bottle boy at the local Super Valu. In 1953 Al joined the Navy and served proudly for 4 years. He was then, and always remained, a proud Navy man. He and Tootie married in July 1957. He will be best remembered for the love and dedication he had for his family, friends, and the congregation of First Lutheran Church of Crystal..
Al is survived by his children, Kelly, Wendy (Ed), Shawn (Hanna); grandchildren, Alex (Danielle), Kelsey, Sam, Michael and Shawn Allen; great-grandsons, Elijah and Mason; goddaughters, Vicki (niece) and Mariah; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday , July 23 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation an hour before at First Lutheran Church of Crystal, 7708 62nd Ave. N., Brooklyn Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Every Meal - First Lutheran Church of Crystal.
