Obituary for Alcuin "Al" Roering

Alcuin “Al” Roering, age 91 of Brooklyn Center, passed on 6/18/23.

Survived by wife of 66 years, Adelle; children, Linda, Eugene (Maria), Darrell (Michelle), Brenda (Pete), Bonnie (Daryl), Kevin; grandchildren, Krista, Jessica (Dylan), Gabriel (Olivia), Melissa (Steve), Chelsea (Bryan), Matthew (Francine), Asher, Taysia, Benjamin (Ancsa), Tischauna (Andy), Amanda (Andrew), Joey, Alexander (Alexa), Brittany (Jordan); & great-grandchildren, Desiree, Kellan, Kaydin, Hailee, Zoey, Oliver & Lillian.

Al enjoyed many interests and hobbies over the years. He loved bowling, fishing, hunting, golfing & most recently his many adventures to the casino. He always seemed to be a lucky guy which was evident when he attended the St. Alphonsus Fun Fair one year and won their top prize of a new car! He also brought that luck (and skill) to bowling and golf. He was an avid bowler who was able to participate in Bowlerama, a bowling competition and tv show, and won several prizes. Al showed his skill (and luck) on the golf course too. He got a hole in one and was able to get an eagle during some of his golf outings. Although, he did have a fun time losing his golf ball on the course one day, but with his luck, he found his own ball in the hood on his own shirt.

Al was a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

I just can't say enough about the help we received in planning my husband's funeral at the Osseo Evans Nordby funeral home. It was a very difficult time and they were so caring, sensitive, helpful and very organized in making the funeral go smoothly. The funeral home in Osseo felt so welcoming and comfortable also. Tina was extremely helpful in guiding our family with planning the funeral and went out of her way in finding the right memorial folder for my husband. I would highly recommend them. Thank you all.
