Obituary for Al Knudsen

Allan Walter Knudsen, age 67, went to be with our Lord on May 26, 2016. He was surrounded by his wife Linda of 46 years and his son and daughter.

Al worked in the baking industry for 40 plus years. He was active in Jaycee's, taught gun safety for 20 years and was an active member at Cross of Glory Lutheran Church. He was very involved in his children's activities that included being a band parent and soccer dad. Al was able to enjoy two and a half wonderful years of retirement with his wife. He loved spending time at the lake in the summer and his winters in Yuma, AZ. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Al is preceded in death by his parents, Walt and Irene; step mom, Irene; in-laws, Bob and Phyllis Nelson; and three young brothers.

Al is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Jeffrey Knudsen (Sara); granddaughter, Vada; daughter, Kristin Janku (Jeremy); siblings, Kevin (Jackie), Julie (Chuck), and Kolleen; grandniece and nephews, Logan, Anastasia and Charlie; brother In-law, Keith Nelson (Susan) Eric; and many family and friends.

Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday, June 2nd, at Evans-Nordby in Brooklyn Center, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Center. Funeral 11 AM Friday, June 3rd, at Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, 5929 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Center.

In lieu of flowers donations to Cross of Glory or the Cancer Society would be preferred
