Aileen Leasure
October 14, 1953 - June 28, 2026
Aileen Rachel (Hawkinson) Leasure, age 72, of Minneapolis, passed away on
June 28, 2026. She was born on October 14, 1953, to Russell and Margaret
(Learmonth) Hawkinson of rural Clarkfield, MN.
Aileen was a remarkably intelligent, creative, and independent soul who forged
her own path while navigating significant mental health challenges throughout
her life. She also cared deeply for her family and friends, and she will be greatly
missed by all who truly knew her.
Following a heart-related incident, Aileen received weeks of care at North
Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. After being removed from life support, she
was kept comfortable and passed away peacefully. The family would like to
thank the ICU doctors and nurses who took wonderful care of Aileen.
Aileen was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and aunts and
uncles.
Aileen is survived by her biological children: son, Albert Leasure and family of
Canada and daughter Aimee (Ken) and children Ash and Kavin of Outlook,
Saskatchewan, Canada.
She is also survived by her brother Marty Hawkinson, of Racine, WI, along with
his family, Matthew (Jacqueline) and sons Milo and Levi of Maple Grove, MN;
Ryan and son MaKoy of Swanville, MN; Marissa and sons Peyton, Carter,
Maddox, and Hudson of Racine, WI; and Collin and daughter Lacey of Racine,
WI.
In addition, she is survived by her sister Karen (Harley) Winters of Montevideo,
MN, and their sons: Hesston (Kayleigh) of Gypsum, CO; Heath of Montevideo,
MN; and Hank of Morris, MN.
A celebration of life is being planned.
