Long, Helen J., age 85 of Brooklyn Park. Helen was known for her hobbies: cooking, gardening, traveling, sewing, & attending her grandchildren’s activities. She enjoyed spending time with family at her lake home in Emily, MN. Preceded in death by husband, Jacque. Survived by children, Leslie (Gaylen) Goble, Michelle (Robert) Karlson, Kimberly (Bradley) Randall, Jeffrey (Jolene) Long, Darcie (Thomas) White; 13 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Thursday, March 23, 2017 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 7025 Halifax Ave N., Brooklyn Center, with visitation starting at 9AM at church. Interment at Gethsemane Cemetery.

Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023. I can’t say enough positive things about all aspects of my interactions with them. They reached out to help every step of the way—from planning the Celebration of Life service, the service itself, and after care contact. Brittney was the person I primarily worked with. She was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, organized, and had great communication skills, which greatly helped in reducing my stress level. I plan to contact Evans-Nordby soon to pre-plan my own final arrangements.
