Arrangement Conferences

Following the death of your loved one, our staff will schedule an arrangement conference with you and your family to help you start planning the service. During this meeting, your funeral director will present your options, help you make decisions for a personalized ceremony and gather important information about your deceased loved one in order to complete necessary documents.

Call us to provide preliminary information and set up your arrangement conference appointment.

Questions we typically ask:

  • What type of service would you like?
  • Do you already have something in mind?
  • Would you like a viewing?
  • Do you own cemetery property?
  • Are you planning to work with a church?

What you will need at appt:

  • Obituary information
  • Photo(s) of deceased for obituary, printed items and styling
  • Clothing
  • Photos and personal items if you would like a viewing
  • Veteran information, applicable (DD214 document)

While there are dozens of things you need to know and decide following the death of your loved one, our staff at Evans-Nordby Funeral Homes will guide you every step of the way to make the process as easy as possible.

Some services require the presence of a health care agent and the legal next of kin to make the decisions and sign off on forms.

Our son recently passed away and of course you never expect to have to deal with this for your children so my wife and I were not only devastated but didn’t know what to do or where to turn next. Evans-Nordby was recommended to us by our Priest and I’m so glad he did. From the moment I talked to Tina on the phone I could tell we were in good hands as she took care of every detail. We met with her the next day and she went through all the aspects of what we were to expect in the coming days, weeks, then months ahead. Every employee we had contact with at Evans-Nordby was kind, compassionate and extremely professional. Thanks Tina and to all at Evans-Nordby for making an unbearable experience at least tolerable.
