Obituary for Richard A. Gutzke

Gutzke, Richard A., age 75 of Brooklyn Center MN passed away on January 15th. Preceeded in death by parents Arnold Gutzke and Evelyn (Schmitt, Gutzke) Proulx, brother Dennis Gutzke, and son Scott Gutzke. He is survived by wife Pat Swanson; son Dan (Jannika) Gutzke; step-children Julie (Steven) Annis, Brian (Lisa) Swanson, Lee Swanson (Michelle Kollmann); siblings Ken (Sandi) Gutzke, Diane Houle, and Betty VanRyswyk; 5 grandchildren, nephews and a niece.Dick was an avid fisherman, often going with his best friend Mike Foley. He was a kind and humble man who will be remembered with much love. He worked as a printer for NSP and Minuteman Press prior to retirement. Dick is an army veteran, to be interred at Fort Snelling. A memorial service will be held at Brooklyn United Methodist Church, 7200 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center on January 23, 2017, Monday at 11 AM. Visitation at CHURCH after 10AM, Monday. We have sincere gratitude for the many nurses, therapists, home health care aids and transitional care people who treated Dick with great compassion.
