Our dearly loved Richard “Dick” age 85 of Brooklyn Park passed away on April 18, 2017. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, & brother. Preceded in death by twin brother, Ralph “Bud”; and son-in-law, Tom Clarkin. Survived by wife Doris; daughter, Vicki (Curt) Ziebarth; grandsons, Scott (Amanda) Clarkin, Jeffrey Clarkin; great-granddaughters, Kennedy, Jordyn, & Aubrey Clarkin; sisters, Muriel Anderson & Jeanne Ahrens; and many other family & friends. Memorial Service 5PM Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center with visitation starting at 4PM. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the VA Medical Center, www.volunteer.va.gov to donate.

Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023. I can’t say enough positive things about all aspects of my interactions with them. They reached out to help every step of the way—from planning the Celebration of Life service, the service itself, and after care contact. Brittney was the person I primarily worked with. She was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, organized, and had great communication skills, which greatly helped in reducing my stress level. I plan to contact Evans-Nordby soon to pre-plan my own final arrangements.
