Obituary for Nora F. Koenig

Age 99 of Brooklyn Center, passed away on August 12, 2017.

Nora was born April 14, 1918 in Sabin, MN, the daughter of William and Nathalie (Buth) Krabbenhoft. She became a child of God through baptism and reaffirmed her faith commitment to Jesus Christ when she was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sabin, MN. Her Godparents were Frank and Clara Krabbenhoft. She grew up and attended school and Sabin, MN. She was joined in marriage to Raymond Koenig on June 24th, 1941 at the parsonage in Sabin. After Raymond was transferred to Minneapolis in 1963, Nora was employed by the Osseo school district and worked at Brooklyn Junior High for 15 years as a cook. She was active for many years in the Brooklyn Center Women's Club. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Brooklyn Park and loved quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking and watching the Twins.

She is survived by son, Randy (Holly) Koenig; daughters, Joanne (Dan) Schipper, Joyce (Thomas) Sokol; daughter-in-law, Marlene Koenig 5 grandsons; 7 great-grandsons; 1 great-granddaughter; and sister, Melba Sorvik. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; son, Robert; grandson, Isaac; and siblings, baby girl Krabbenhoft, Vernon, Florence, Robert, Eldon and Violet.

Funeral Service 12PM Thursday, August 17, at Grace Lutheran Church, 6810 Winnetka Ave N., Brooklyn Park, MN, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment at Mound Cemetery.

I just can't say enough about the help we received in planning my husband's funeral at the Osseo Evans Nordby funeral home.
