Janet Johnson Hersch , age 85, of Osseo, MN passed away May 8, 2017 surrounded by family.

Preceeded in death by her husband Myron Johnson (1989), husband Russell Hersch (2010), and sister Mona Hawkinson.

Survived by her brother Dean Lovold (Mariette), her children Karen (Mike), Susan (Jeff), and Mark; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 4 step children, 6 honorary grandchildren from Vietnam, and many step grandchildren.

Janet was born and raised in Waseca, MN. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St Peter, MN in 1953 where she met her husband Myron. She was a teacher in Askov and a substitute teacher in the Osseo School District. She was very active at Advent Lutheran Church, Sons of Norway, and passionately involved in Girl Scouts. Always up for an adventure, she took trips to Norway, Alaska, HostFest, and dreamed of visiting family in Vietnam. She was the best Mom and Grandma, loved and adored by many.

Funeral service at 11 am, May 11 with visitation starting at 10 am at Advent Lutheran Church, 9475 Jefferson Hwy, Maple Grove, MN.

Our son recently passed away and of course you never expect to have to deal with this for your children so my wife and I were not only devastated but didn’t know what to do or where to turn next.
