Age 68, of Brooklyn Park, Born January 28, 1949 – died on July 7, 2017. Loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Preceded in death by loving wife, Merrilee; parents, Arvo & Virginia; brother, Richard. Survived by children, Kathryn (Craig), Charles Jr. (Kim) & Michelle (Kyle); grandchildren, Jordan, Megan & Ashley; sister, Mary Beth; brother, Dale; and many other relatives and friends. Charles served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He retired as a pipefitter from Local 539.

Visitation 5-8 PM Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home (34 2nd St. NE., Osseo). Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (7025 Halifax Ave., Brooklyn Center) with visitation one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment St. Vincent’s Cemetery in Osseo. Memorials preferred to charity of donor’s choice.
